​​NRECA highlighted the important role of utilities and the impact of transportation electrification on the grid in response to a U.S. Federal Highway Administration request for information on medium and heavy duty vehicle electrification. In particular, NRECA urged that the stakeholders requiring the build out of substantial electric infrastructure to support these new vehicles must bear the costs of this expansion.​
