Grant Consulting for DoD Funding Opportunities

DoD’s Defense Communities Infrastructure Program (DCIP)

The Defense Community Infrastructure Pilot Program (DCIP) is designed to address deficiencies in community infrastructure supportive of a military installation in order to enhance the military family quality of life, resilience, or military value. $60 million is appropriated to this program in Fiscal Year 2021.

Only state, local governments and rural electric cooperatives are eligible to receive the grant awards, creating a unique opportunity for cooperatives to submit proposals to possibly receive this funding.

Your cooperative can leverage the expertise of NRECA to curate a customized winning proposal for the DCIP.

How We Work With You

  • NRECA will work to develop a customized project idea with the cooperative, work to collect supporting data, and then produce a ready-to-submit final proposal for the cooperative.

  • Maximizing the opportunity to potentially receive funding from this program requires careful planning and should be driven by a common purpose and coordinated efforts. NRECA brings significant knowledge of the utility industry and practical experience in supporting cooperatives that serve military communities.
