The Benefits of the NRECA Threat Analysis Center for Cooperatives

Through TAC, the co-op community receives:

Roll-Out and How to Get Involved

NRECA is in the process of the initial set-up of the Threat Analysis Center, working to finalize agreements with 2-3 co-ops with different OT monitoring tools deployed, to begin initial vendor data integration and configuration.

TAC will be scaled in parallel with NRECA Research's Industrial Control Systems for Rural Electric Cooperatives (ICS-REC) federally-funded project, through which NRECA is working with DOE (NETL and CESER's CEDS R&D office) to deploy cyber and cyber-physical solutions for rural electric cooperatives. ICS-REC, as with TAC, is a technology-neutral, vendor-neutral approach to advancing cyber threat identification and analysis. As co-ops deploy various threat detection tools, ICS-REC will connect the systems to TAC for comprehensive analysis and communications support.
