As part of the RC3 Self-Assessment Research Program, NRECA has been working with 36 electric cooperatives since 2017 to test a new cybersecurity self-assessment tool. The tool, developed by NRECA, will help cooperatives understand their cybersecurity posture and gain insights for developing a cybersecurity action plan.
The lessons learned during this Program provide valuable insights into the opportunities and challenges for cooperatives regarding cybersecurity. This series of advisories relays some of these lessons learned.
