The interdependence of communication technologies and grid operations has increased the vulnerability of co-ops to cyber intrusions, data theft, lost productivity and, potentially, service disruption. All co-ops, regardless of size, need to take ongoing steps to ensure the security of their data and systems. The Cybersecurity work group is focused on investing in research and products that help co-ops: identify cybersecurity issues, protect data and systems, detect problems, respond to cyber incidents, and recover quickly.
