Trade allies play an important role in delivering energy-efficiency savings for DSM program administrators because these key partners interact directly with customers and can make or break a sale. In summer 2016, to help utilities understand how their trade ally networks compare to one another and to shed light on industry trends, E Source approached more than 100 North American utilities, asking about trade ally network characteristics such as data on structure, size, expenditures, performance measurements, and engagement strategies.
This report is produced by E Source and is made available to all NRECA members through our membership in E Source.
Value to Electric Cooperatives:
Co-op staff can use this report to learn how other utilities are managing their trade ally programs.
