Over the years, rooftop unit retrofit (RTU) controls have demonstrated consistently high savings numbers, and now more manufacturers have launched competing products for commercial unitary HVAC equipment control. While the first products launched in this sector focused primarily on adding variable-speed controls for evaporator fans, new products are attacking HVAC controls from different angles, such as improved economizer and thermostat controls.
