Since the launch of the Commitment to Zero Contacts Initiative in April 2018, more than 530 co-op CEOs have pledged to help eliminate serious injuries and fatalities due to electrical contacts.

To help this effort, NRECA, Federated Rural Electric Insurance Exchange and co-op statewide safety leaders have collaborated to create resources in the Zero Contacts Toolkit. Co-ops across the country have downloaded and used these tools, and many have put their own unique spin on the initiative.

NRECA's #SafetySaturday social media campaign celebrates one year of the initiative by showcasing how co-ops are using the toolkit and enhancing their safety programs. Every Saturday through the end of April, we're posting a safety story from a different co-op on Facebook. Your co-op can share your own safety stories by using the hashtags #SafetySaturday and #CTZ. Check out the posts below, and follow NRECA on Facebook to stay updated.
