Electric cooperative employees spend their days working hard to keep the lights on, but Monday was all about appreciating the magic of a few minutes of darkness.

More than 100 co-ops experienced totality in at least some part of their territory as the solar eclipse passed from Texas to Maine. Employees from co-ops across many states gathered outside, donned their eclipse glasses and took a moment to view the rare celestial event together.
