October is National Cooperative Month, a time to celebrate what makes co-ops special. This year, we’d like to recognize those electric co-op employees who demonstrate “Concern for Community,” the seventh cooperative principle, during their off-hours in their schools, fire stations, hospitals, athletic fields, senior homes and elsewhere in their towns.
Using the form below, nominate a colleague or director who regularly volunteers in their communities during their free time, year-round.
Tell us about the volunteer and the impact they've had on your community (maximum 450 characters). Submissions must also include:
- A horizontal, high-resolution photo of the volunteer “in action” (1,200 pixels wide or larger)
- Photo caption
The deadline for submissions is 5 p.m. ET on Tuesday, Oct. 3, and we'll be publishing a compilation in Electric Co-op News and sharing it on social media.
