CFC recently rolled out an update of its seminal publication, Commitment to Excellence: A Guide to Developing Board Policies for Financial Best Practices (PDF). Over the years, the report has allowed electric cooperative boards of directors/trustees and management to better define and understand their respective roles regarding leadership, stewardship and good governance and ensure that documented, world-class financial procedures are followed.
