2020 Safety Leadership Summit

“See” safety like you’ve never seen it before! Don’t miss 2020 Safety Leadership Summit—NRECA’s premier industry educational and networking event for electric co-op staffers responsible for safety practices.

Update: NRECA staff has been closely monitoring the evolving coronavirus (COVID-19) situation and wants to assure you that we are taking measures to protect the health and safety of our members, staff and other event participants. Based on the growing risk and local, state, and now, national orders, as well as recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and World Health Organization, NRECA has canceled 2020 Safety Leadership Summit.

If you are registered to attend this event, be sure to cancel your event registration to receive a full refund. You may cancel online by signing into cooperative.com, go to My Registrations -> Manage -> Cancel-> COVID-19. And don't forget to cancel your hotel reservation (see Hotel contact information below) and any other travel arrangements.

We are exploring options for rescheduling and/or offering virtual options for those events where such alternatives may make sense. Thank you for your ongoing support of NRECA.

Experience safety from a completely different perspective! Interactive demonstrations, hands-on activities and presentations give attendees the opportunity to learn the latest in safety innovation while gathering the tools and resources necessary to help teams implement safety programs and practices back at the co-op.

Take this opportunity to get your team - operations, safety, human resources, CEO, senior leadership, and front-line staff - in one place alongside other professionals from across the country who are also working on making significant safety improvements. Engage with leaders who, like you, are tasked with making sure their co-op’s vision of safety isn’t just clear… it’s 20/20.

Who Should Attend?

The Summit is specifically designed for:

  • CEOs/General Managers
  • Job Training & Safety Management
  • Loss Control Management
  • Human Resources Management
  • Engineering & Operations Management
  • Linemen and line crews
  • Finance and Administration Management
  • Communicators and PR Professionals
  • Other co-op staff – safety is everyone’s responsibility!

What Your Peers Have to Say

"I am a Statewide Safety & Loss Control Director. This conference is so valuable to us that we made a decision in 2016 to make it a priority in 2018, so we made arrangements where all 8 members of our department could attend. This was the first time that all 8 members of our department had ever been together!"

"The session topics were on point and very informative. The diversity of the presenters allowed several different perspectives to be considered. We are able to take several new ideas back to our cooperative."

"Access to the group of safety professionals from the electric cooperatives from around the country is very valuable, and in many ways, unique to this event."

"The conference was very engaging and informative. I will definitely gain professionally. I plan to attend in 2020 and am hopeful to bring various employees from the operations department."
