The Premier Conference for Electric Co-op CEOs & GMs

Join hundreds of CEOs, general managers and industry partners for the opportunity to exchange ideas, make meaningful connections and learn best practices for managing key challenges faced by electric co-op senior leaders.

Leading staff, working with your board, engaging your community and exceeding member expectations in a changing, complex industry is difficult. When you are bombarded with day-to-day requirements and challenges, it’s not always easy to take time to evaluate your co-op’s strategic vision or reflect on your personal leadership. However, making time to get away from daily responsibilities and contemplate your critical role in the success of your co-op is crucial.

CEO Close-Up offers electric cooperative CEOs and general managers an opportunity to engage in leadership training, hear from dynamic speakers, participate in skills-based workshops and connect with industry peers who have a unique understanding of the economic, business and political challenges you face. Each interaction will leave you inspired, and each session provides with real-world solutions that you can execute when you return to your co-op.

CEO Close-Up Testimonials

Don't just take our word for it that CEO Close-Up is a great program for electric cooperative CEOs/general managers. Here's what a few of your CEO/GM peers are saying...

If you want to find step change improvements, you must benchmark your co-op against others. There is no better place to learn what others are doing than the CEO Conference.
– Rob Hochstetter, CEO, Central Electric Power Cooperative (South Carolina)

This (CEO Close-Up) is the one conference that I can count on to provide relevant information that will help me do my job.
– Scott Peters, CEO, Columbia REA (Washington)

It is a great learning environment with speakers and panels specifically geared to the cooperative CEO. You are unencumbered by the responsibilities you have at most NRECA meetings which allows you to focus. And, finally, while the program is always excellent, the connections and conversations you have outside of the sessions will likely be even more valuable.
– Aaron Bradshaw, CEO, Co-Mo Connect (Missouri)

The CEO Close-Up provides the best networking and learning opportunities available for cooperative CEOs, with thoughtful scheduling and topics and an inviting setting that enhances personal growth.
– Thomas Walch, CEO, Grand Valley Rural Power Lines, Inc. (Colorado)

It is one of the best conferences for CEOs as it is very relevant to your job. You will always find a couple things to bring back to your co-op that will help you become the best version of yourself that you can be.
– Tim Thompson, CEO, Lake Region Electric Cooperative (Minnesota)

It's just a great opportunity to discuss issues that most of us are currently dealing with and develop solutions based on feedback from peers.
– Steve Sheffield, GM, Clarke-Washington EMC (Alabama)
