Next Generation Leaders Experience

Thank you for your interest in the 2019 Next Generation Leaders Experience. We have reached capacity for this year's program and registration has been closed.

NRECA is committed to working with our members co-ops to attract and retain top talent. This, of course, includes the future leaders of America's electric cooperatives. The Next Generation Leaders Experience develops emerging cooperative leaders through special NRECA Annual Meeting programming designed to build their co-op knowledge, extend their professional network and develop self-awareness that will help as they grow and contribute as co-op leaders.

The Next Generation Leaders Experience will be offered as part of the 2019 Annual Meeting & Expo registration.

The Lab

In our effort to give attendees opportunities for

hands-on experiences with technologies that are transforming or have the potential to transform the energy industry, we are excited to announce The Lab is back! This year, the The Lab will feature a utility connected home and will be located in the TechAdvantage Expo. Make plans now to stop by for a tour!

Touchstone Energy® Cooperatives Community Service Project

Touchstone Energy Cooperatives believe in the power of human connections and know the difference we make in our local communities is powerful. That’s why we are pleased to sponsor our 11th annual Community Service Project in conjunction with the NRECA Annual Meeting. Volunteer opportunities are available for the first 100 participants who register.

Registration Fees

Meeting registration fees include access to all general sessions and breakouts, meeting-sponsored meal functions, meeting materials and TechAdvantage Expo. Pre-meeting director education courses are an additional fee.

Highlights from the 2018 NRECA Annual Meeting

Hotel & Travel

Hotel Reservations

Make Hotel Reservation

Note: Until the Annual Meeting registration process is complete and a confirmation is received, members are ineligible for hotel reservations.

Important Hotel Dates

  • January 30, 2019 (Group Cut-Off Date): All hotel reservations must be secured through the NRECA Housing Center before or on January 30, 2019, 9:00 p.m. EST. The online hotel reservation site will be closed after this time.

  • January 31-February 6, 2019: The Housing Center will be available business days (8:00a – 5:00p (CST) between the dates of January 31-February 6, 2019, to assist with securing additional guestrooms (based on availability) and/or modifying existing reservations via email: or phone: 800-967-8852 (toll free) or 847-996-5832.

  • February 11, 2019 (Contact Hotel Directly): On and after February 11, 2019, all guestroom requests (to include changes, substitutions and cancellations) must be made directly through the hotel. Please do not call the hotel to confirm hotel reservation(s) until February 11, 2019.

NRECA's Hotel Cancellation Policy

All cancellations must be submitted in writing to the Housing Center by 9:00 p.m. EST on January 30, 2019, to avoid a cancellation fee. A non-refundable deposit equal to one (1) night's room and tax will be charged for cancellations made after the hotel cut-off date to the credit card used to guarantee the reservation. NRECA's cancellation policy overrides any hotel policies concerning room cancellations.

Please note: If you do not cancel your reservation and/or do not arrive at the hotel on the check-in date requested, the first night's deposit will be forfeited and your entire reservation will be cancelled.
