Empowering America's Electric Cooperatives

Join us for the largest gathering of electric cooperative leaders, designed to embrace the challenges of our ever-changing industry and cultivate future-focused thinkers.

Introducing...NRECA PowerXchange

There's always been power in coming together to get business done. For years, the NRECA Annual Meeting addressed the essential needs of America's electric cooperatives. But those needs are changing, and co-op leaders require an event that adapts to today's demands—as well as those of the future. One that seeks innovative ways to support leaders through shared challenges and opportunities. That's the vision behind PowerXchange, a gathering of the most influential minds in our industry to facilitate an exchange of the most advanced ideas.

Redesigned as a vibrant hub of engagement and discovery, our newly envisioned annual meeting empowers members to tap into the collective wisdom of our community and connect in more meaningful and collaborative ways. Learn more about our new vision for the largest annual gathering of electric cooperative leaders in this article, PowerXchange: The NRECA Annual Meeting Gets New Name and New Look.

What Is PowerXchange?

PowerXchange is about what’s impacting costs and efficiency now. It’s about weighing in on industry initiatives that will shape the energy landscape for years to come. It’s about cultivating forward-thinking strategy with sessions centered around future issues. And, most importantly, it’s about exchanging ideas, improving upon them, and finding innovative solutions to their day-to-day challenges.

The name PowerXchange is inspired by the knowledge sharing that is the cornerstone of this event. Not only does the word “power” evoke the energy industry, it also signifies the powerful impact resulting from this exchange of ideas, and the power of bringing together the entire co-op community to solve challenges and amplify results. The abbreviation of the word exchange with a large X represents the concept of convergence and coming together.

Join Us Online in 2021

Amid ongoing uncertainty regarding COVID-19 and its specific implications for large events, travel, and public health and safety, NRECA has decided to shift our in-person 2021 NRECA PowerXchange to a virtual event. The health and safety of our members, guests and staff is of paramount concern. While we had hoped to unveil the new vision for our meeting in person in San Diego, we are excited about the possibilities that an online format brings to the revitalization of this important annual event. Dates of our new virtual event are not yet confirmed. Stay tuned for more details about these exciting developments in the coming months!
