​​On Thursday, September 3, 2026, the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) released a “Supplemental Deployment Policy Notice” for the Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) program, which outlines how states must address gaps in broadband availability coverage left by program withdrawals, defaults in other programs, and changes to the Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC) broadband DATA maps.
