Education: Western State Colorado University. Bachelor's degree in strategic communications and English with an art minor.
Hobby: Fly-fishing
How did you get into fly-fishing?
I started at the age of 13, thanks to my dad. Since then, it's become more than just a hobby and has turned into a shared passion that's strengthened our bond over the years.
What do you enjoy most about it?
It brings me joy, peace and a deep connection to nature. Growing up surrounded by the beauty of Colorado made it easy to fall in love with the sport. It's become a central part of my life.
Is this something you enjoy doing on your own, or do you go with others?
My dad taught me and eventually, I taught my husband. Every time we hit the water together, it's not just about fishing, it's about creating memories, learning and sharing something we both truly love. In fact, our love for fly-fishing runs so deep that we named our two golden retrievers Trout and Hopper!
What do you like most about working for an electric co-op?
I love the deep-rooted sense of community here and the pride in knowing our work directly supports families, businesses and schools. Coming together as neighbors and friends to build a better future. Every day, we work toward a shared goal of making life better for the people we serve, and I'm proud to be part of a team that values both the community and each other.
Any words of advice to new co-op employees?
Dive in wholeheartedly. Embrace every opportunity to connect with your coworkers, immerse yourself in the cooperative spirit, and truly appreciate the incredible sense of community that surrounds you. This is more than just a workplace—it's one of the most rewarding and inspiring environments you could be a part of.
