Education: Bachelor's degree in marketing from Virginia Commonwealth University's School of Business
Fun fact: I am a Youth Tour alumna, and my co-op roots run deep.
When did you attend the Electric Cooperative Youth Tour?
I had the honor of participating in Youth Tour in 2017. It was an experience that truly opened my eyes to the profound impact of cooperatives and when I began to appreciate the values and mission of co-ops.
What do you know now that you wish you knew during Youth Tour?
I wish I had understood how interconnected electric cooperatives are on a national scale. During Youth Tour, I learned about leadership and co-op values, but I didn't fully grasp how much co-ops collaborate to serve their members and communities.
What attracted you to work for an electric co-op?
After being furloughed from my part-time job in 2020, I realized I wanted to work in an essential industry after college where I could contribute to something meaningful and dependable. I was really drawn to cooperative model's focus on community, which helped me realize a career at an electric co-op isn't just a job—it's a way to make a real difference in people's lives, and that sense of purpose made it an easy decision.

How did you learn about the position?
I discovered this position through networking within the cooperative community and by setting up a job alert on the NRECA careers website. When I came across this opportunity, everything about the role felt like the perfect fit. It truly seemed like it was meant to be.
Any words of advice to new co-op employees?
Embrace the cooperative difference. It's more than just a workplace; it's a community. Don't be afraid to ask questions or seek guidance. Co-ops are built on collaboration, and everyone wants to see you succeed.
