On May 27, 2025, NRECA, along with other national broadband associations NTCA – The Rural Broadband Association, Telecommunications Industry Association, USTelecom – The Broadband Association, and WTA – Advocates for Rural Broadband, sent a joint letter to President Trump urging the administration to both eliminate the unnecessary and burdensome program requirements imposed by the Biden Administration and enable the States to move forward quickly with implementation.
