NRECA, along with the National Rural Telecommunications Cooperative, NTCA - The Rural Broadband Association, Federated Wireless, and Ruckus Networks, met with Federal Communications Commission (FCC) staff on March 28, 2018 to discuss the upcoming auction for the 3550-3700 MHz Citizens Broadband Radio Service (CBRS). The discussion included the importance of ensuring this spectrum is auctioned by small license areas to encourage participation by a wide number of potential licensees, including electric cooperatives and small telecommunications providers serving rural America.
