​NRECA, along with the American Public Power Association (APPA) and the Electric Power Supply Association (EPSA), filed comments with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) regarding possible modifications to the Critical Infrastructure Protection Reliability Standards regarding the cybersecurity of control centers used to monitor and control the bulk-power system. The trade associations support FERC's continued attention to the threat of attacks to cyber systems used to operate and maintain interconnected networks that pose a real threat to grid reliability.
