NRECA announced this week that three new senior leaders will be joining NRECA in May.
- Digna Louis will join NRECA as chief financial officer.
- Angela Strickland will serve as senior vice president of Business and Technology Strategies.
- Scott Barash has been named senior vice president and general counsel.

Louis joins NRECA after serving as vice president and global head of Finance Strategy and Solutions at Expedia Group, Inc., an online travel company. Previously, she served as senior vice president of Finance and Accounting at comScore, a media measurement and analytics company.
During 11 years at Fannie Mae, she served in roles of increasing leadership, including vice president of Finance Transformation, where she modernized the organization's finance systems and processes.

Louis has built capable, high-performing teams and worked across organizations to lead successful strategic initiatives. She has worked with many different business partners and that breadth of experience will serve NRECA well across varied business units.

Strickland has led a variety of energy-related programs, including at two energy consulting organizations and Southern Company. She has exceptional team leadership experience on regulatory policy and industry issues, ranging from energy innovation and efficiency to electric transportation. Her consulting experience will be an asset in NRECA's work with a wide range of stakeholders. In fact, she has worked extensively with electric cooperatives and will help our members define future energy and business solutions.

Strickland most recently served as managing director at GDS Associates and led the group's work on advanced energy roadmaps, energy procurement and electric transportation strategy. She also developed strategy and new market opportunities for ICF's smart communities and innovation initiatives. Prior to her consulting roles, Strickland was Energy Innovation Center Product Development director at Southern Company and Energy Efficiency director at Georgia Power.

Barash is a strong leader with extensive experience developing and managing a large team with varied areas of responsibility. He has worked in heavily regulated environments and his experience in the telecommunications field also will benefit NRECA's membership. Barash has served as general counsel for the District of Columbia Public Schools, the University of the District of Columbia, and Universal Service Administrative Company. He was a partner at Jenner & Block and served as a trial attorney at the Department of Justice.

Barash grew up in a small Illinois town and embraces the electric cooperative mission. His past roles have also given him familiarity with the challenges of serving rural communities, especially as it relates to closing the digital divide.
