On January 30, the FCC adopted the long awaited final rules for the Connect American Fund (CAF) Phase II Reverse Auction (Auction 903). The Auction will provide winning bidders with $198M per year for 10 years to support fixed broadband and wireline voice service (including VoIP). Electric cooperatives are eligible to bid in Auction 903, including those not currently offering fixed broadband or wireline voice services. Applications to participate in the auction are due March 30, 2018.
