Co-sponsored by NRECA, CFC, NRTC, and Federated

The New Co-op Leaders Online Orientation explores current issues, trends, challenges and opportunities and the national resources available to help new CEOs, CFOs, directors and trustees, with two years or less in their role, be successful.

New cooperative leaders greatly value the opportunity to discuss critical issues and learn from each other. It’s perhaps even more important in this time of fast-paced change and uncertainty. That’s why CFC, NRECA, NRTC and Federated Rural Electric Insurance Exchange are pleased to be hosting orientations in 2021 for new electric cooperative chief executive officers, chief financial officers and directors.

New co-op leaders (CEOs, CFOs directors) will convene in a blended, online orientation May 18-20, 2021. This program will be comprised of a combination of general sessions for all three groups together and individual breakout sessions for new CEOs, new CFOs and new directors. You will be introduced to the many national resources available to help you succeed in your new role and have opportunities to build an invaluable peer network.

  • New CEOs/general managers will receive an in-depth overview on key electric industry and cooperative management issues and challenges facing them.

  • New CFOs will be introduced to issues and resources shaping the cooperative’s financial strategy.

  • New directors will gain a foundational understanding of current industry and governance challenges.

There is no registration fee to attend. Advance registration is required. The deadline for registration is May 10, 2021.
